This incredible Museum was kind enough to allow us to film Vi Cowden
here so that the documentary will include her beside some of the planes
that she flew during WW II.
The museum prides itself on the fact that all of their airplanes
are in flying condition.

Anything that you want to know about the WASP
(Women's Airforce Service Pilots) during WWII
can be found on this amazing website!

This group does an outstanding job of keeping our Aviation history alive and flying.
And TWICE now they have given Vi a flight in the P-51, the last time,
she took off and landed the plane, as well as piloting it at its top speed
of 495 mph!! Becoming the oldest person to Pilot a P-51D Mustang!

Be sure to check out this website. It is hard to see from this photo,
but, this eagle is made up entirely of soldiers from World War I!
They did just about every patriotic symbol, including the Liberty Bell
and the Statue of Liberty!

This is an great air museum with many of the planes of WW II and local Veterans willing to share their personal stories of the Air War over Europe and in the Pacific.

One of our Documentary subjects, Jack Hammett, has been collecting World War II stories for many years and posting them on his website.

This is a very good one that we have found on Stalag Luft 1 prison camp
